Gary Martin Racing brings you Racehorse ownership that any one can afford from just £50 per month. Now you can share in the thrill of owning a racehorse for a very small monthly payment or purchase an enhanced share with a small capital payment and then a small monthly fee all inclusive with nothing more ever to pay for your racehorse.
Gary Martin Racing has enjoyed much success over the last three seasons; however we have to change the way we operate as we cannot cope with the large numbers that are required to keep the club viable. Our new concept will not affect current members with shares as these will run their course (with the same benefits) and will be renewable at a monthly discount.
At Gary Martin we have always offered extremely low cost racehorse ownership, trying to encourage new people into the sport; however this can have its drawbacks if they have little knowledge of racing and horses! To this end we have had to try and find a low cost scheme that will be acceptable to the many that have enjoyed going racing with us and the new owners who have just joined.
Over the years it has given us great pleasure in watching our owners going to collect the prize after winning and enjoying the champagne afterwards! Ownership entitles you to a free or discounted owners badge every time your horse runs, under sixteen’s are free admission, partners are welcome. Owners badges give you access to the parade ring to meet trainers and jockeys, also access to other parts of the racecourse that are for owners only, including the car park!
We currently have Twelve horses in training all of whom have won races with the exception of two but they have been placed, with more being purchased at the forthcoming sales. Alex Hales has the bulk of the horses near Daventry at a very well organised and equipped yard with excellent staff. We have enjoyed much success over the years and we are an important part of his yard, also personal friends of Alex and Sally.
As with all racehorses the trainer has the last say in where and what races our horses run in, also who rides them as sometimes we need to use apprentices to take the weight off. Our next open day will be early spring, due to sickness in the yard and my personal move it has been impossible to do one this Autumn.
